The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is a standards agency, ensuring that installers and suppliers of low carbon and renewable energy products are working to the highest standards. The rigorous standards required by MCS are strictly enforced, with the aim of ensuring that the microgeneration industry in the UK grows rapidly on the strength of an excellent reputation.

The Stove Shop are accredited by the MCS and as such are bound by the rules and guidelines as well as being subject to stringent testing. The MCS is similar to the Gas Safe register for gas burning appliances.

If you are getting a grant for any form of microgeneration technology installed then you will need to have both the supply and installation carried out by a MCS accredited company.
